OK, I was wrong on the attack on Iraq. I am no prophet or psychic. But apparently Slick Willy already had given the order to attack as Saddam's letter was delivered to the UN. Now it looks like the Letter has satisfied some other countries, These countries want Iraq in business again. They will read the Letter and not read the 2 pg Conditional List. We would have been much better off if the Attack happened when I predicted it would in yesterday's THOUGHTS.

I could be WRONG, but I think we will attack Iraq sometime today. Why? Because of the statements made by the Secretary of State and Clinton himself. Normally we would launch the military strike on the New Moon, when the night sky is at its darkest. The New Moon is Nov 19th. Clinton is going to Asia this weekend for a summit. My thought is that Clinton will initiate hostilities before he leaves. Because the Leonid Meteor Shower is supposed to be the strongest since 1966, and there are fears that some of our satalites will be lost and much of our "smart" ordinance relies on GPS (Global Positioning System). and for a related story I found.

 A man  that I personally know which is on the "Year 2000 Team" for a
 large manufacturing company that has 8 plants in the U.S. has personally
 told me many-many things about the year 2000 situation. None of them
 sound good. He just told me today , in person, that there will be a year
 2000 test done on Galaxy 5 sattelite on this November 17, 1998.
 
 Galaxy 5 sattelite runs 40% of the telephone communications, 50% of the
 television sattelite feeds, and 30% of the communications for the banks.
 He told me in person that this sattelite is expected to have a 90% chance
 of total failure and will  never commuinicate again.  He also told me that
 if a failure does happen, the government will blame this faIure on the
 Leonid meteor shower,which is to happen on that same
 day, instead of the real truth that the year 2000 test  caused the
 failure. The government has this planned on that  date so in case of the
 failure of Galaxy 5 because of the year 2000 tests situation, the
 citizens will never know until it is to late that it really was the year
 2000 problem. They are very worried that if they told the truth  that
 the year 2000  test really caused the failure, the truth would cause a
 major awakening of  the citizens about year 2000 and that would cause a
 run on the banks and also would cause massive chaos at the grocery
 stores.

Monica Lewinski rears her head, so to speak in New York City yesterday. Made an impression, throwing "fits" and her entourage assulting photographers in a public place. Apparently she was upset about her "lack of PRIVACY" in a public place. Well guess what Monica!!! NOONE has any reasonable expectation of privacy when out in the "Public", except in a Public Restroom/Dressing Room. If you want PRIVACY, Monica, EAT IN YOUR HOTEL ROOM!!!

Yesterday the Phoenix ZOO had its largest 1 day Visitor total, 42,000. All for Ruby the Elephant that died last week. I am guessing here now, But I bet that is more than the # of citizens who paid respects to Sen Barry Goldwater when he died. I know for a fact that there is not this much grief poured out to victims of Drive-By Shootings, Fatal/Near Fatal Child Abuse, etc.

Oh well, I guess this is the state of our society now with the Liberal politically correct brainwashing of America. They have managed to convince most of America that the death of an Elephant is more important than the Hardships of our own neighbors even in Life/Death situations.

The HARD QUESTION: You have $5 to give. Do you give it to the Elephant Memorial? OR, do you give it to the family that just lost a child to RANDOM VIOLENCE and cannot afford the barest of funeral expenses? Right now the people of the State of AZ is throwing the $ at the ELEPHANT. What do you think would happen where you are?

I contribute to very few charities, and only those that I know will help people/families/children. I contribute my few extra $ to charities that help people like me. The Elephant, I wish the outcome was different. But I prefer to help people FIRST.

Thank You to all OUR Veterans', who have fought and died for the RIGHTS the Democratic Party is trying to take away from us.

You see today the Democratic Party is a Party of Socialists, Marxists, and Communists. Let me explain.

Social engineering, ie: Gun Control, Anti-Smoking Bans, Nationwide Public Schools CONTROLLED by a Central Entity (Federal Gov't). Lack of any CODE of Conduct taught in these Schools. The "You do (LOCAL GOV'T) THIS, THIS, AND THIS. or we (FEDERAL GOV'T) WILL WITHHOLD the tax money collected from you (individual STATE) and give it to another(STATE(s)) who support our (FEDERAL GOV'T) AGENDA(s).

It is getting closer.... The armed border, TO KEEP US IN!!! The GULAGS, Imprisonment Camps, ReEducation Centers, etc. for all who do not follow the Federal Gov't line. Thank God we are not there yet. We STILL have a chance to take this country back and keep it FREE. Proof of that is that the Mexicans, Cubans, Haitians, Latinos, etc. STILL RISK THEIR OWN LIVES TO GET HERE!!!

As opposed to the VETERANS', WE have an easier job, OUR lives are not at RISK YET!!! WE can voice our BELIEFS, Email and write and phone our ELECTED OFFICIALS to let them know what we think. The Republicans let us down (I am an Independant). We need OUR voice to be heard to the elected officials. Let's get the Federal Gov't OUT OF OUR FACE, and return to the STATES the RIGHTS as stated in THE U.S. CONSTITUTION. And Remember, THE ONLY PRESIDENT THAT DID NOT KNOW WHICH HAND TO USE IN A SALUTE IS THE SOCIALIST PARTY, I mean THE MARXIST PARTY, I mean THE COMMUNIST PARTY, I mean THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY!!! I FINALLY got it right.

Boy things moved fast over the weekend. It was my Congressman Matt Salmon (R) District 1 AZ that led the charge for ousting Newt Gingrich as Speaker of the House. Hopefully Rep Bob Livingstone from LA. will rekindle the spirit of smaller Gov't, NO PORK, and challenge Slick Willy's and the liberals attempts to erode our individual rights.

On Sat in his Radio Address Slick Willy accused the 5 MILLION attendees of GUN SHOWS of being criminals in ILLEGAL ARMS, and GUN RUNNING. Another attack on OUR 2nd AMMENDMENT RIGHT. He called GUN SHOWS "Illegal Gun Bazzars". If they are ILLEGAL then why doesn't he send the ATF to shut them down? Because THEY ARE LEGAL!!! THERE ARE NO ILLEGAL ARMS BEING DISPLAYED/SOLD. This is just another step in the DISARMING of LAW ABIDING CITIZENS in this country. Then there are the more discreet attempts on limiting/banning the sale of lead(for bullets) Primers, gun powder, reloading equipment, and 200 rounds is an arsenal(a small box of 50 .22 cal shells is smaller than the box the smallest bottle of aspirin comes in).

As you know, Ruby the Elephant died. Now some boneheads are calling wondering when the FUNERAL SERVICES will be held... I bet these people who did the CANDLELIGHT VIGIL for the Elephant didn't give a DAMN when the quads (4 babies) were taken to the hospital here with skull fractures, broken bones, shaken baby syndrome. 1 is brain damaged, deaf, and blind. They were all born HEALTHY!!!! No CANDLELIGHT VIGIL, No outpouring of Saddness. Child Abuse to this extent does not matter to these people. But an Elephant's untimely death means more to them. I was hoping for the best for the Elephant, and I am sorry she died. But CANDLELIGHT VIGILS, FUNERAL SERVICES, Grief Counselors for the Zoo Workers are TOTALLY OUT OF LINE!!!! Pretty soon these whacko's will be grieving over ROAD KILL, and want a PROPER BURIAL for the victims. And they won't give a damn about a child run over by a Drunk Driver.

Exciting times for me here. The Cardinals win against Redskins w/2seconds left, Jake Plummer drives the Cardinals 50 yrds in 32 seconds to set up the game winning 48 yrd Field Goal. Divine Intervention. And if Good prevails against EVIL the Cardinals will win against the Dallas Crack-Boys, SOUTH AMERICA'S TEAM next Sunday. For the 1st time since 1988 the forces of GOOD are above .500 9 games into the season.

And of coarse the prediction of some sort of "LANDING" on Dec 7th. Near here north of Phoenix, AZ

Update on yesterday's story. Ruby the Elephant at the Phoenix Zoo was put "to sleep" shortly after the C-Section was begun. Massive infection, etc. This was a risky operation to say the least, so far the stats were 0 survivors and 4 deaths. Now it is 0-5. This story was front pg news here in Phoenix, AZ, and above the "fold". While I hoped for the best, I wonder how the local CHILDREN are handling this? Being prompted by school teachers, etc. to send get well cards, a CANDLELIGHT VIGIL!!!!. Because of this politically correct thinking liberals I believe some of these CHILDREN are needlessly suffering EMOTIONAL TRAUMA over the death of Ruby the Elephant. One more ELECTION type comment first.

Most of you know I am in AZ. A state much maligned in the past as bigoted and racist. And the following stories were played up in the past.

Impeached Former Gov. Evan Mecham, called blacks "pick-a-ninnies". This guy is, was, and still is AN IDIOT. Martin Luther King Holiday losses, NFL took away what would have been AZ's FIRST SUPERBOWL. Passed a year later, and we got got SuperBowl XXX. In my opinion it was NOT that because it was a holiday for a prominent Black Leader. But the fact that only State workers would get the holiday off, and most of AZ do not like having tax supported services cut-off becuase State AND Federal workers, teachers get the day off with pay and the rest of us don't. AZ is a "right to work State". which basically means no unions for the most part, and limited "Official Holidays".

"Official Holidays" are: New Years, Mememorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Every other "so called holiday" that Federal and or State Employees get off with pay upsets the rest of us in private industry. And the latest debacle in Chandler, AZ, also suburbia of Phoenix, like Mesa. Last year a large # of parents complained that the illegal immigrants (AZ bordering MEXICO it was Mexicans). Verbally abusing and making advances to school age girls and being drunk by 7 AM, complained to the local authorities. The police in Chandler with supervision of the Federal Immigration Agency rounded up over 500 illegal aliens in a 3 day sweep of the city. However there were a few people wrongly detained in this sweep. Now Chandler is facing a $250 MILLION lawsuit and in this day and age, will lose the suit. A point that the plaintiffs brought out was that they were looking for illegal Mexicans ONLY, they were not looking for illegal Canadiens. Therefore the "Sweep" was racist. Take a look at a map. AZ does NOT have an illegal Canadien Immigrant problem. There are very few Canadiens trying to sneak into this country from the Mexican border.

Now for my election commentary:Betsy Bayless(R) vs Art Hamilton (D). Those who remember know I supported Francis Emma Barwood in the (R) Primary). Betsy Bayless is a woman with a long career in AZ Gov't. Art Hamilton is a Back man who spent 25 years in the AZ State Legislature, a very articulate and knowledgeable Legislator, (Though I don't agree with his views or politics). Betsy Bayless won the election for Secretary of State. In this campaign there was NO mudslinging, each were qualified for the position, but had different views and agendas. But I tell you this, NOT once was the issue that she is a woman, or he is a black man EVER brought up before the election, or AFTER the election. The sad fact is, that Art Hamilton is now out of state politics. That is too bad. I can appreciate differing viewpoints on issues from someone who is informed on the issues. This is where our Repesentative Democracy works, compromise between differing views on an issue is the fairest deal for all.

To Art Hamilton, I wish you success in your future endeavors.

Don't get me wrong, I like animals, and I hope Ruby makes a miraculas recovery. But I find it absurd to have a "CANDLELIGHT VIGIL" for an animal. In my mind I feel more for the children NEVER born, especially for the ones aborted by partial birth. I feel more for the victims of violence, drive by shootings, Spousal Abuse, child abuse, racial hatred, etc.

I am not anti-animal, but I am pro Human. Let the Animal Rights whackos put that in their "pipe" and smoke it. Time for me to eat my Meat filled Sub, while I hope for the best for Ruby the Elephant.

Made it to 5203 VISITORS in one year!!!

The ELECTION yesterday. What a debacle nationally for Conservatives. The best thing that can happen next is to REPLACE Newt Gingrich as HOUSE LEADER. This sad showing in the polls is reflective of POOR LEADERSHIP from Newt Gingrich. I see now that it is true, Newt has been de-balled, castrated, the past 2 yrs. The PORK FILLED BUDGET is the end of Newt's Leadership role in the HOUSE of REPRESENTATIVES.

In Arizona: The cock-fighting ban passed overwhelmingly, something like 69% to 31%. This was sponsored mainly by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). The new law makes the raising of Game Birds, Fighting between Game Birds a CLASS 5 FELONY. For an example of a CLASS 5 FELONY in AZ: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER IS A CLASS 5 FELONY. (CLASS 5 FELONY: $15,000 fine AND/OR 2 YEARS in PRISON). Now let me fill you in on the details of this new law that wasn't in the "Brief" printed on the sample ballots sent out.

This "new" law not only covers the act of allowing 2 roosters to fight, but also covers FUTURE INTENT!!! ie If the law enforcement Agency, or Sheriff Joe's upcoming COCK-POSSE determines that you INTEND to use a rooster you have in a fight, YOU WILL BE CHARGED UNDER THIS NEW LAW. Need more help on this? ANALOGY: You buy a new CORVETTE, you are YOUNG. A speeding ticket is given to you before you drive the car off the lot, because the LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY has determined that at some FUTURE POINT you WILL BREAK THE SPEED LIMIT!!!

This new LAW makes a POSSIBLE FUTURE INTENT AGAINST THE LAW!!!!

Let me cut this short with 1 more EXAMPLE: You drive to a local store and buy a 12-pack of beer, YOU get ARRESTED FOR DUI, because POSSIBLY in the FUTURE YOU may drive DRUNK. Maybe not today, maybe not tommorrow, but POSSIBLY sometime in the FUTURE!!! Now remember beer keeps pretty good. So the 12-Pack you buy TODAY, you may drink 2 months from now and then drive. This comes under "INTENT"!!!!

PETA has already stated their plans next for AZ. A ban on dog racing, a ban on horse racing, and a ban on the use of dogs when hunting. Hunting dogs banned. PETA has already admitted on local talk radio that the 200,000 Roosters will be put to death as a result of the cock-fighting ban. They already admitted you can't eat the roosters, too tough, not like hens who are fattened up. Cock-Fights are a Cultural Tradition here, so much for TOLERANCE that the LIBERALS preach........ And Now to Minnesota Governor Race: WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!!!??? Electing a former Pro-Wrestler??? This one I cannot figure out

U.S. teen-age drinking linked to watching more TV

            CHICAGO (Reuters) - Teen-agers who watched more television
and music videos were more likely to start drinking alcohol,
probably due to the influence of frequent media portrayals of
drinking, a study published Monday said.
            The Stanford University study of 2,600 ninth graders, who
are usually 14 or 15 years old, found that for every extra hour
per day spent watching music videos, they were 31 percent more
likely to begin drinking alcohol during the following 18-month
study period.
            Ninth graders who watched an extra hour of regular
television programming per day increased their chances of
drinking by nearly 10 percent over the same time period.
            By comparison, teen-agers who spent more time watching
videotaped movies or playing computer and video games, which the
study authors said contain few or no depictions of alcohol, did
not have a higher risk of alcohol use.
            Previous studies have shown that alcoholic products are the
most common beverages shown on television and music videos.
            Study author Thomas Robinson, writing in the online pages of
the journal Pediatrics, suggested closer regulation of alcohol
advertising, particularly in light of the hard liquor industry's
decision to abandon its voluntary ban on television and radio
advertising, and the growing presence of such ads and promotions
on the Internet.
            Robinson also suggested greater use of public service ads
directed at children to counter the lure of alcohol advertising.

Some on a Daily basis, but most of you do so on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly schedule and read all my "THOUGHTS" since your last visit then. I surmised this from the emails I recieved from some of you in my last Fri "plea" to get me to 4500 Visitors for the year.

A year ago I would not have thought that I would generate this much interest, and the web pg has grown and grown. From Geocites which is an excellent place to begin, to my own Domain Name and server and complete control, (No unapproved advertisements) and quicker loading. Great thanks to SgtBBQ. For all his help. And the Great support from Frogina's Pond And ALL of the "old" ART BELL BLUE ROOMERS. And ALL the rest of you I thank also, ELvira, SplitBolt, Scamper, Crystal, Pat, Justah, Nar, Cpen, K2003, c1cav, Fish, Silkwood, etc. etc. and the people who know me from work.

I promise to be politically incorrect and inflamatory during the next year also.

FURBY. Take my advice on this one, the "FURBY" link above will give you the info and stores that have the HOTTEST Christmas Gift since "Tickle Me Elmo". I finally found 1 and it is a cute electronic pet for even adults, I got mine sitting here by my PC and when it is hungry I stick a Cigarrette in its mouth until it is "full". Think of it as the next generation of those keychain type electronic pets. Talkative little thing, kind of a cross between an owl and a "Critter" if you have seen any of the "CRITTERS" movies.

OK, now onto the commentary for today.

If you, or anybody you know plans on voting tommorrow 11/3, and they haven't a CLUE to the issues or candidates, try to get them to stay HOME!!! What this Country needs is an informed vote, by voters who have followed the issues, NOT by people making choices in the voting booth by the pattern of their state lottery ticket. If you or they don't know ALL the issues etc. VOTE on only the ones you are informed on. Leave the others BLANK. Let those informed decide it. And remember to look very closely at Propositions, are you voting for a particular issue, or would that Proposition be also used for other issues you didn't consider. Example: Anti Smoking Laws. Now evolving to Anti peanut Laws. ZERO TOLERANCE OF DRUGS IN SCHOOLS, students suspended or expelled for giving another student a cough drop. ZERO TOLERANCE on "WEAPONS". Student with new braces EXPELLED for having a butter knife to cut his sandwich into smaller portions for his sensitve teeth. etc. etc. Well what am I to say???? The Federal Gov't wants to FINE AZ for too much dust in the air. WE ARE IN A DESERT!!!!!! Also we (AZ) are to be considered as a skin cancer risk because of too much SUN!!!! Again WE ARE A DESERT!!!!!

My guess is they would blame AZ for Global Warming, But we are below average in temperature the past year.

Weather you agree with me or not, if you are informed on the issues and candidates, VOTE!!!!!

I was on KFYI 910 AM again today on the John Dayl Show, The same show I won a book last week. Commenting on the state of Public Education today. I am doing this quick update while waiting for my pizza, listening to Art Bell's Dreamland, and watching the Oakland Raiders vs Seattle Seahawks football game on ESPN. And keeping tabs on my police scanner too.

MY Cardinals WON Today!!! over Detroit Lions 17-15. I felt I needed to put up some sort of update now. Commentary on News and Politics resumes tommorrow, and my pizza is here now!!!

The news today? didn't pay that much attention to it today. All I know is that Sen John McCain R-AZ is raising a lot more $ than necessary to be reelected to the Senate. A lot of out of state donors, including: Bill Gates, Ted Turner, Henry Kissinger, Collin Powell, Donald Trump, and multiple CEO's of LARGE Corp. Seems that McCain is building a war chest for a run at the Republican Nomination as President in 2000. Overall, I think it is a good thing if McCain runs.

Yeah, I know The Shuttle when BLASTING off left behind it's parashoot(sp) door, I look at it like this, sphincter doesn't have to work to sit down(land) HA HA!!! Get it???
